It’s main building dates from 1806 and has been called “Mirassou”, meaning “looks at the sun” in the local dialect. Built on top of the hills, full south, the farm is basking in the sun all day long and enjoy an impregnable view of the breathtaking Pyrénées mountains range. Following the local customs, “Mirassou” is built around an internal courtyard, thus enabling to shelter people and animals from the prevaling west wind coming from the nearby Atlantic ocean. Most of the stone and wood work is exposed. The furnishing is antique and traditionally in keeping with the period.
