DESCRIPTION
La Belle Aube is a fully renovated semi-detached traditional Breton Farmhouse with original oak beams throughout. Downstairs there is large open-plan kitchen /sitting- room with log fire -place, dining- room, toilet and bathroom. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the master double bed room being extra large with two windows giving excellent views over countryside; the second is a twin bedroom. There is an attached garage at the side of house, which houses the oil-fired central heating boiler, and a small out building at the rear.
The house is south facing with two gardens. The front is a stoned courtyard with ample space for parking and the rear has a good-sized lawn, children’s swings and driveway /alternative parking.
Gausson village is a short (10 mins) walk away – bakery (fresh croissants every day), bars, restaurant and Post Office. There are several towns of local interest in the area; the nearest town, Ploeuc-sur-Lie is just 5km away, Loudeac (20km), Montcontour (a medieval town) and St-Brieuc. Rennes, the capital city of the area is just a one hour drive away is definitely worth a visit. If you enjoy water sports then a trip to Lac de Guerledan (15 mins. drive) is recommended.
The beaches of the Baie de St.Brieuc (approx. 25 mins drive away) offer great variety from large popular resorts to small quiet coves and lots in between to explore.
Choice of ferry routes: Roscoff / St.Malo 1-1 ½ hrs drive away, Caen is a 3 hour drive, Dinard airport (1 hr) with inexpensive flights with Ryanair.
