DESCRIPTION
The cottage is an old detached farm cottage which has been renovated to a high standard whilst retaining its old charm. It is situated 1.5km from the centre of the small village of Chazé sur Argos, (inhabitants approx. 850) where there is a bakers, Mairie (the maire being a local farmer), very big Church, pissoir, the river Argos, general store and of course a café.
The entrance to the cottage is at the rear and opens into the Fitted kitchen where there is a gas cooker, microwave, double sink, fridge/freezer, kettle and teapot. In the cupboards you will find all that you need for any cooking you may wish to do whilst on your holiday. Also, there is a small breakfast table with four chairs. From here is a door leading into the: -
Lounge/Dining room, which measures 17’ x 17’ and is fully carpeted. There are the original beams exposed and a glass fronted brick fireplace. Logs can be purchased at Supermarkets should you wish to light a fire - perhaps more for those who are thinking of taking an out of season break? A very cosy and comfortable room with dining table, chairs plus a three-piece suite. There is a video player with a small selection of films, radio and facility for you to play your cassettes and CD’s. The television is connected to a digital decoder receiving English free to air broadcasts, including radio. There are patio doors into the garden and another door, which leads to a short hallway going to the: -
Two Double Bedrooms, each having a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets with lights and a small radio. The bedding consists of a double bed, four pillows and a duvet. If you wish to hire linen, please be sure to include this on your booking form. Both have a large window overlooking the garden.
The property boasts Two Separate Shower Rooms, both of which have shower, WC, washbasin and razor point/light. In one there is a washing machine for your use.
The cottage has heating throughout, therefore can be used all through the year. The whole of the premises is on one level with just a small step (2”) at the entrance door.
The garden facing South and overlooking nothing but countryside, is in excess of 500 square metres, laid mostly to lawn with fruit trees and a flowerbed. Patio furniture is supplied together with a BBQ and to complete the scene, sun loungers. The nearest neighbours are over 150 yards away so there is a very high level of privacy.
