DESCRIPTION
Belvezet is an enchanting, sunlit saucer , containing the old village itself, surrounded by vineyards, farmland and woods. The house is by a small, little-used lane on the edge of the village, and the pretty garden looks across a small stream. The conversion has been tastefully done, retaining original features of the former farm or mill house. There is exposed stone work, a well-preserved mangeoire , and the old stone-framed entry now has french windows. The floor of the old hay loft has been removed on this side, so this gives even more height and space. At the other end, this now forms a mezzanine bedroom, reached directly by a wooden, spiral staircase. Ground floor: spacious sitting/dining room (TV and hi-fi) with sunken well with open fire, big wood-burning stove, and french windows to garden; good, recent fully fitted kitchen with glazed door to garden; 2 small bedrooms: 1 double; 1 twin with glazed door to garden; shower room with sunken shower and twin basins; separate WC. Mezzanine/1st floor with 2 beds: 1 single, 1 double. Terrace and garden. Minimum 2 week bookings preferred in July and August. Heating Washing machine Dishwasher Swimming pool (8 x 4m, 1.15m deep throughout) Barbecue Pool/garden furniture. Edge of Belvezet (no facilities; card-phone box 50m; bar/restaurant 1 km). 10 km N of Montaren (supermarket and bread) 11.5 km N of Uzès (all facilities). 36 km N of Nîmes (major city). 37 km E of Alès (all facilities and gateway to the Cevennes ).
