DESCRIPTION
This former farm building is in the courtyard of a splendid fortified property dating from 1010, once a hunter s lodge and more recently a working farm. The owner has now sold his livestock and just the horses remain. Our house stands just inside the entrance to the domaine but for more privacy, access is possible via the back garden which leads onto a quiet country lane. It has been nicely converted, with floor tiles throughout and the original old beams retained. The well eqipped modern kitchen is bar style, at the far end of the living/dining room. In every way suitable for a family holiday in pleasant countryside, it is close to the River Loire and within easy reach of the vineyards of Pouilly and Sancerre. The nearby town of Nevers is well known for its potteries.
